The KGV Prussian blue error was discovered - and brought to Gibbons's attention - pretty much immediately, as far as I recall.

Cul-Lector, be patient, and contact more Australian-based professionals, you will be happy you did! Like many philatelic experts, they are often preoccupied with stamp fairs, schedules, travel and society meetings and the like. Some also may have other (non-stamp-related) professions. Don't be put off by the ocassional perceived brush-off. Sooner or later you will find your answer, and perhaps meet a knowledgeable specialized mentor at the same time!

May the power of the cloud (the 'net, the force, whatever) be with you!

Hi Cul_Lector

I will show the image at the next meeting of the ACCC (Australian Commonwealth Collectors Club of NSW) which I am a member of on May 20, some of Australia's top experts are members.

Rob,

Thanks for your response. It is only with patience, and politeness added to our natural inclination to "need to know" everything; it just takes time.

None of us know anyone who knows all the answers, philatelically speaking. She or he would be much in demand if that were the case!

Myself and countless others online await the results of the O.P.'s questions.....

My feelings exactly re: Straits Settlement Torres issues, but I might add I've seen quite a few different styles and varying degrees of quality of their perforating
as well!

The stamps are lithographed on white wove paper, perforated 11. Six values are recorded: 2¢ (brown), 4¢ (blue), 8¢ (orange), 16¢ (green), 24¢ (violet) and 36¢ (carmine).

NO 32 cent stamp
