I have checked with my collection, I can't distinguish between them is Precancel or box cancel? And if they are precancels, can tell me the type and value :) Kansas city, Misourri Bowling Green, Ohio Seems, Northampton, Mass
1. Kansas City IS AN R-471 PRECANCEL 2. & 3. BOWLING GREEN are the same box cancels, not precancels. George, the vertical lines normally indicate a box cancel, but not in all cases. The probability is 99.5% of the time it will be a box cancel. 4. NORTH HAMPTON is an L-09 HS handstamp. Caution: This variety is often COUNTERFEIT.
