It doesn't list the country so I can't apply a Scott number to it. Thanks for any help.

It's a GB stamp. Now I need a Scott number.

Known as 1d red "stars" (because of the stars at the top of the design, which were later replaced by letters). Issued from 1854.

Depending on paper color (white or bluish), perforation (14 or 16) and whether it is the re-engraved design or the original, it could be Scott # 8, 11,14, 16, 18 or 20. The blued paper stamps can sometimes be difficult to detect, and sometimes require that you compare with a known white background, and the perforations need a perforation guide. You may need a magnifying glass to detect the re-engraved variety (described in Scott, just after the listing for #10.)Prices range from $11.50 for #20 up to $80.00 for #11. Unfortunately, this one has a lot of issues: the perforations completely cut off at the top, a lot of short perfs on the left, and very poor centering. Great Britain, being the very first country to issue stamps, has never put the country name on its stamps, and has maintained the exclusive right not to have to.
