I noticed one lot at the Kelleher action went unsold. I did not see the prior bids. Did they not meet some minimum? I notice lots sell below estimates.

Prices realised at Kelleher is amazing. I wouldn't pay USD2000 for this page, not to mention that it comes with BP as well...

Kelleher always shows an opening bid, if it's not met the item goes unsold and will be available after the sale at the opening. I don't know how they set the opening bid.

Quite a few of the WW lots I am interested in have already hit the estimate in pre bidding. I will jump in if the spirit calls but I think we will see strong prices.

I think good sense should prevail when it comes to bidding at such auctions. It is pointless having 2 or 3 bidders pitting their might against one another when you end up paying anything but fair value for the items.

I keep telling myself to bid responsibly but when the bidding starts it's easy to forget. Sometimes I see a competitor and I decide to bid him up on early items so he'll have less $ when my item comes up! I don't know if this works but it helps the house. When it gets to my last item if I haven't won anything I'm going bid until I win so I don't go home empty.

That's just me there are a lot of other things going on. It's not easy but it's a lot of fun and Kelleher treats us well!

Bid online on some French colony stuff, but someone in the room is bidding on almost everything in that area it seems, so no wins. Fine by me, didn't get pulled into overbidding.

"I am looking forward to Harmer as well"

I just viewed the HR Harmer catalog last might and almost all the lots had the "currently" at exactly the same $ number as the "CV or estimate". Impossible.
