When the USPS switched First Class Retail Packages to zone-based pricing in January, they added insult to injury by making customers use an online price calculator that requires a bunch of clicking and scrolling. So, I created a dedicated calculator for determining First Class package rates. It requires just one click, and it's one more click to find the best combination of stamps to use. Find it here: First Class Package Price Calculator

Thank you. It is a good service as it comes with tracking and seems to travel at the same speed as a flat rate priority mail envelope. |

Excellent Resource! Thank You!
When mailing first class package items from home that do not exceed 10oz per USPS rules, do you write down First Class Package on the envelope so the carrier knows what that's the shipping method you want to use vs Priority Mail for example? |

Just wondering if anyone knows if something happened to the site owner. I've used this rate calculator ssince its inception, and it's been a great timesaver. About 2 weeks ago it started returning error messages, and none of the contact forms on either of the owner's websites are currently functional.
I've sent a PM via this forum. Hopefully everything is ok with the owner. |

Are people using First Class still? If you do, are you using a Form 888 to get tracking, or just not bothering with tracking or insurance?!
Since USPS Ground Advantage offers both tracking and insurance included, I've been using that for several years.

First Class Parcel *IS* Ground Advantage. There is no difference. So even though the website's on-page terminology hasn't been updated, what it spits out are valid Ground Advantage rates. |
