The Unitrade Gauge allows measurements in 0.1 increments and it has the added advantage of being transparent to lay over the stamp, instead of having to place the stamp on top of the gauge. It will also measure those tiny teeth up through 18, for worldwide collectors. They are listing for only US$3.50 on ebay. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Uni-Safe-U...382722239338 |

The Unitrade gauge is similar to Stanley Gibbons "Instanta" gauge. The Kiusalas gauge is set up differently for specific line perforated stamp issues. There is also a Canadian Kiusalas specialist gauge which appears to be more easily available than the U.S. Kiusalas specialist gauge. Also, the Kiusalas ebay listing is not my listing. |

I hope that this was helpful to those who are looking for this gauge since I haven't seen any available for sale in some time. Looks like they are almost gone now. |

I believe the Precision US Specialty Multi Gauge by Sonic Imagery Labs includes all 12 of the perforations on the Kiusalas US Specialist Gauge as well as one additional variety.
But remember, these are not the same ones as on the Kiusalas Canadian Specialist Gauge. |

I like that the Sonic Imagery Gauge has added to the U.S. Kiusalas gauge 11-72.5 since this is the more accurate gauge for the old 11-73 Brad905: Are you looking for a Canada Kiusalas Gauge? www.Maresch.com has them. |

Quote: Can we still get the Precision US Specialty Multi Gauge by Sonic Imagery Labs? As far as I know, there are supplies still available. It's a great gauge, even for worldwide stamps. I've found the grid is great for measuring total widths of overprints that have multiple staggered lines! It's just a bit bulky to use if the stamp is still mounted in an album close to the binding. I would advise paying attention to the revision number. Over the years, there have been changes to what is included on the gauge. I think it is up to Revision 5.x now. Sellers may not be selling you the most recent revision, so make sure you know which revision you are getting and what it includes (i.e., make sure the image they show is the actual revision you are getting!!!). |

Cool - thanks Jogil. I just got off of the phone with a very friendly Rick at R. Maresch & Son. They do still have the Canadian version and he will be bringing a bunch to the National Postage Stamp & Coin Show at the Hilton in Mississauga on September 7-8 (next weekend). Thanks again!!

Thanks for the link...I just bought one as well. This seller has sold a boatload of these. Note that he has a 'Make Offer' option. I played with it and the system accepted my offer of $1 off...helps take the bite out of the verdampten sales tax. |
