Getting closer to completing the entire Card Proof (P4) collection. I have the entire 19th century regular issues, special deliveries, newspapers and officials. I still need 17 to complete the 1st issues, and it may take a while longer to finish them.

Here are all the 2nd issue card proofs. Understand there are some denominations which were not issued as card proofs (P4).

The following are the card proofs (P4) for the 3rd Revenue Issues. Unlike the first two series of revenue stamps, all of these were created in card proof format.

Very nice! The proofs really do capture the details so much better than the stamps and the vibrancy of the colors are unmatched. So are you going to also do the proprietaries and match & medicine card proofs? There aren't many of the M&Ms that come as card proofs, so it seems doable, but I have no idea how scarce M&M proofs are.

Those are gorgeous.
Proofs are a lot of fun.

With card proofs, as thick as they are, and as many as you obviously have, can you get a lot in one album, or do you limit the number of pages per album to some manageable (aka rather small) amount?

Revenuecollector, there are I believe a total of 36 different M&M which were produced as card proofs. They are generally not that pricey, usually $30-100 each.

I have the Proprietaries done as far as I can. The last three (RB8-RB10) are listed but my understanding is there may still be 1 or 2 of each in existence. The prices are rather up there.

Txstamp, a complete collection of card proofs of the 19th century is not a large collection, in reality. Think of the first pages of a Scott National through the Columbians, minus the grills, and most of the LBN special printings, add a page for Special Deliveries (3 stamps), a page for the 21 Postage Dues and then add in the pages for the officials (O1-O93), the Newspaper stamps and then a few pages for the Revenues. Currently, I have everything in a 64 page stockbook, if that gives you any idea.

artificial proof?
Do you mean artificial error (intentionally printed inverted)?

Sorry, I'm not much into errors - intentional or otherwise.

Thanks for pointing that out, though.

After all, I do have to draw the lines somewhere....

Yes, the sheet is a philatelic creation. There was no reason to produce a proof with an inverted center.
