I have a sheet of the Scott 1511 - Zip Code stamp that is block tagged. However my 2017 Scott Specialized doesn't say anything about tagging. It does show 1509 and 1510 as tagged, as well as the next stamp after, 1518. Has Scott just omitted noting that the stamp is tagged, or do I have an oddity?
It's tagged. Scott does mention it. Look at the description under the design. It applies to those designs, implicitly following, and their respective Scott #s. Page 137 2019 Scott Specialized.
It reads: 1973 - 1974 tagged perf 11 x 101/2
Scott Specialized 2017 says the same thing, page 138.
Classic - thank you for your response. I thought that was probably the case, but, since it was printed in a completely different manner (Photogravure - Andreotti vs. Rotary Press), I wasn't sure.
Alan, Yeah the Scott Catalog can be a bit vague sometimes. Their comment about tagging applies to all the stamps in the block they are showing just above it.
