Japan's April 20, 1973 issue for Philatelic Week, Scott #1138, features the painting Visiting the Sumiyoshi Shrine (on the Girls' Festival in May) by Ryusai Kishida (1891-1929). Sumiyoshi is a ward/area of the city of Osaka. Kishida painted in the "Western" style.

The girl in the painting has a paper and fabric doll which is suspended on a thin stick. The doll dances when the stick is moved.

A traditional cloth-made lion toy from China.

It's really nostagic to see marbles here on stamps.
I used to have many, and still have some left survived from many moves as souvenirs.

But just watching them playing is a happy thing, isn't it? :-)
