Hello
I had emailed an Switzerland Stamp Guy and sent him these pictures/scans and from what I read on the net is that the wild hair ones are called Struble's something like that

They do have threads I believe

1850's - 1860's 2 Switzerland Seated Helvetia ImPERF: 10 & 15 Rappen

The thread area is scanned at 9600 dpi.rest 2400 dpi

The 15 Rappen has what looks like looped silk threads on the top & Bottom with a single going thru. and 1 on the top part left to right.I can't tell the color.

The 10 Rappen has left to right silk thread and appears to be green.

I haven't checked for a water mark have to get some fluid but it appears to be none.

Also as far as to weather it Fine to Rough Impression please judge the images. And how to determine if it's Emergency Paper Also please see images.I measured the paper thickness with a Mitutoyo Micrometer and it is .003/1000" seems thin to me.;-( Too bad there not Mint They have not been Hinged Also please see image's

O Ya sorry about all the Images I just figure its best to provide good one perhaps I go overboard owell

I have a few of these and I just did these 2

Thanks Austin

Hi perf12
I had looked up the stamps before I emailed the guy and he's over in Switzerland or England one of those two places but supposed to be one of the experts this guy told me about and I I sent him the same pictures because it looked like it had the threads on the back and then I found a website like the one you two showed me but different but it showed the back then it showed the fibers that's in the paper also that he had sent me an email back saying that they were the 1880 issues don't know why thanks again Austin

Who is this Switzerland Stamp Guy and did he really tell you these were 1880 issues?

What you have shown us are from the last Strubel issued with GREEN, not emerald threads. These are not from the Emergency Issue that are roughly printed.
