came across three of these today. It seems to show a caduceus but hard to see. from what I can see, the four sides have "timbre rouge" printed on them. The middle letters seem to suggest " society cooperative" and the top banner something like " syndicat des negoc retail". the value at the bottom looks like 20c. Any clues to what these maybe?

This can be a stamp paying the membership fee of a society of retail dealers OR a stamp given by retail dealers to their customers for a certain quantity of turnover.

This is the best I can do with filters and such. when I saved the picture it gave me this small version. Maybe try copying picture and then zoom in. I have tried again to high light it to best clarity possible |

Fair enough. Any appraisal is just going to be speculation. I'd suggest a product verification seal. I agree a caduceus.
Any further inspection would be folly, with such a poor image.

That's better. Caduceus = Icon of trades, which would suggest a product verification seal Identifiable text Libre (so must be european in origin) LIBRE BOLCE ? TIMBRE ROUGE Cooperation / Corporation Eur 20? CUR 20c? Syndicet de Negro? SOCK
That's it, I had no result with Giggle. If you decide it has a currency on it, then not a seal, maybe a trading stamp, (unsure if Europe had trading stamps)

Hi. Probably French in origin (Text in French only, euro currency) I read "timbre rouge" (red stamp) on 4 sides. "Société Coopération" "Syndicat des Négociants...." (I miss the last word) |

Thanks all for your input. One of those stamps to put to the side for now. |

One should always have a page, (sheet protector?) in your album, entitled "Unidentified" for easy location at a later date, for those curly stamps.
