Hi.

I'm trying to determine when the last edition of the Minkus worldwide catalog was published. I've seen some indications online that there may have been an edition published in the late 1970s. Does anyone know if there was a later edition in the 1980s?

I have seen some catalogs from the early 1980s containing one or sometimes a couple countries. I'm also aware of a few single country catalogs published later while Krause owned the rights to Minkus.

Thanks in advance!

Dale

I have the three-volume softcover set dated 1980-1981. I have not seen a later worldwide issue.

Hi barhata,

Thank you for the information.

How are the countries/regions broken out in those three volumes? I found a couple images of Volume 1 Part 1 on a different forum. No sign of Volumes 2 or 3, unfortunately.

Okay Dale... These are what I believe to be the last worldwide Minkus stamp catalogs issued. They were all soft-bound. I am still looking for 1978-1979 Volume Two Part I to complete my library. (The "New American" catalog contained U.S. listings and was discontinued after 2004, when Scott bought all rights to Minkus)

1980-1981 Volume One Part I - British Colonies & Ireland
1980 Volume One Part II - Free Asia and Africa
1980 Volume One Part III - Latin America
1978-1979 Volume Two Part I - Europe and Colonies (Albania-Hungary)
1978-1979 Volume Two Part II - Europe and Colonies (Iceland-Yugoslavia)

Cheers,
Terry
