Hi. Wonder if anyone else has experienced this, or if I'm worrying about nothing.

I live in UK and bought a stamp album from the US. The seller shipped it straight away, with tracking available to view on ebay. The upshot is, the parcel was moving through the system, then four days ago, updates ended. The tracking info, as of now, looks like this.

So, where is the package now? I'm concerned it may have been lost forever. Any thoughts?

I do not think that USPS has step-by-step tracking visibility after it leaves the USA, they probably only get info when it gets delivered.

I assume it is sitting in customs waiting to be sniffed by dogs, xrayed, or otherwise checked for bad things. I would not be too worried yet.

Try looking in the "Royal mail" web site. It dépends if it is just tracked mail or tracked Registered mail..

I'd usually assume two or three weeks for a packet/parcel from the US, tracked or not - relax!

Agree with GeoffHa - usually at least two weeks,

Thanks. I'm probably worrying needlessly. As I understand, it's not left the US yet.

What's bugging me is that a couple of days before I bought it, I bought a different one which arrived here several days ago. The equivalent tracking details show daily progress, while this one appears to have got stuck. This is the other one, and it's been with me since early this week.

Ringo,
Yeah, as other have said, don't panic.
One of the ironies of our business is a loathing for those who actually carry it out. I've found that items sent as "registered" (meaning traceable) take usually an extra week! It's so annoying because you would think for adding in the extra cost, it would be treated as higher priority, but it's not. It's why we now require express shipping (Via International Express Economy service, which has a 1 - 4 day delivery) for items or combined shipping(s) over $100. People just get too antsy with the international shipping, we waste a bunch of time responding to them, when it's all just normal. Weird but when someone pays $20 for stamp, they don't notice it takes 3 weeks to arrive... Pay $250 for a stamp, and the expect it to be there the next day... We don't control the post office (in any country), and let's face it, postal workers are known for being less than efficient...

The shipping details on ebay still look exactly as in the first scan, above. That's now well over a week the parcel has been "in transit" without arriving anywhere.

What can I do?

Estimated delivery is April 16. You wait. Once that day comes and goes, that is the time to get concerned.

Australia.
Tracking is given until it reaches our shores, then Australia Post takes over.
My record is 90 days in transit from US.
