Good Day!
I am fine tuning the Barbados section of my collection and notice that Scott's identifies several late 1800 issues by "watermark" and "C.A." or "C.C.".

While the watermark identifier is obvious, what does the C.A. and C.C. represent? Is it within the watermark, or is it something visible on the stamp itself?

Thank you all for your insights!

Hi mobilman44,

C.A. = Crown Agents
C.C. = Crown Colonies

The letters are in the watermark.

Hope this helps

Ahhh, thank you! I thought that was the case but had not seen any examples in the watermarks as of yet.

This Forum has been so helpful over the years, and I really appreciate it.

Here are what the watermarks should look like as you view the back of the stamps.
