Probably not. But as someone with almost 2000 posts, you should at least have some clue.
And you are the one who wrote "and this is why you need to see the stamp in question in person and why you should use an expertizing service because using the crowd here will leave you clueless". Not a particularly helpful response.

Speaking as the guy who "posts this kind of question," consider the famous quote from President Dwight D. Eisenhower:

In planning for battle, I find that plans are useless. But planning is indispensible.

That is close allegory for the purpose and value of this thread. By posting a single reverse image of a stamp, I didn't expect to generate a definitive determination of its integrity. It instead generated a wealth of deductive tools for making informed judgement about this and other specimens yet to come. Thanks again for all the comments, especially StampPapa. Bravo Zulu.

Now if you will excuse me, I need to replace the supply valve on my toilet.

But do the people who post these kind of questions have any idea who (what screen names) those people are??

Does anyone really know who is behind screen names? Isn't that the point of aliasing?

I find that some who quietly give opinions and advice are at an expert level and others that frequently proclaim their expert status are somewhat lacking.

This thread proves how difficult it is for "average" collector to analyze gum condition/genuine

I have struggled with this facet of collecting more than any other area.

The cost of a stamp tremendously changes based on this one area of gum condition

It's a risky area to jump into in my opinion as a collector or as an investor unless you only purchase certificate stamps

I'll award it an '8.' I think I see regumming bleed at the top left perf tips and some of the threads appear crossed and brittle, as opposed to being straight or at an angle, as one would find in a stamp separated from its peers and not messed with.

not sure this has anything to do with the original question and I am very much a beginner..... I find it interesting how uniform the ends of the perf are.

The premise of this question is flawed. It's either a regum or not. It's not a probability, or likelihood. I'm not an expert so I can't say based on this image, but I'll commit to it being genuine gum

For a 200k image limit I`d want to see a few high res scans (eg 600 dpi) zoomed in on a few areas around the perfs and definitely some images from the front. Even so, diagnotics on a scan of 200k would only be possible for obvious regumming. For expert regumming, at least for me, even a full 1200 dpi might not be diagnostic.

My assumption was that the OP intended the scale to apply to the level of confidence in the contestant's opinions...

Shermae.... Partial re-gumming/tampering can, 'on occasions', be easier identified looking almost horizontally across the back towards a light source..in my experience.
