Another delightful find at DELPEX. Sock on the nose cancel of the bank check matching use tied to a wonderful check with delightful vignettes. Bradlee was an architect in Boston.,

Q/ Am I the only person who is astonished at the subjects portrayed on old checks & banknotes?

I think I understand that unique & elaborate art made more work for any would-be forgers & counterfeiters.

But naked, cavorting cherubs on an instrument that requires probity & trust?
