Ux 12 Postal Card Heading And Value Printed At Bottom

Saw this on ebay the other day and thought it was interesting.
UX 12 Postal Card with the header and value printed t the bottom of the card. Couldn't find any reference in Scott Specialized or on google searches.
Unfortunately, it's pretty beat up. Still interesting though.
My first guess is an EFO, but I thought I'd post to SCF to get ya'lls opinion.

Nice to find a genuinely used example from this era though.

I found a UX38 at a flea market one time in similar shape.

All definitive US postal cards have been sold in sheets. Although there may be genuine miscut postal cards they will not receive a good certificate because of the many bogus miscuts. Private printers occasionally made mistakes but mischievous collectors and dealers with questionable ethics produced most of the miscuts. Gardner, a major postal card dealer and editor of the Postal Card Specialist was so incensed over this fraud that he ran advertisements offering to produce any variety of miscut card!

Yeah, that's all a shame. Folks have to try and pull the wool to make a buck.

I think the redeeming value for the UX12 above is the date stamp showing that it was used in the correct era. And the fact that it was missent to Thornton, RI rather than Elmwood, RI. I'm not really interested in the monetary value, but rather any historic value. And that it is/isn't an EFO.

It's one of the fun things one might come across. Since it appears to be a legitimately used card, it makes it a bit more difficult to determine how intentional the "miscut" was. But the message could easily be of a philatelic nature. To me it falls into the "philatelic fun" area, nice to enjoy for what it is. I would not call it an EFO, although in nice condition with an RPO and auxiliary marking it would be probably worth $2-$3 as a philatelic "oddity".
