You are measuring the wrong thing here. You should be measuring the spacing between the Chinese and roman letters.
Sorry, this is a complete forgery. The original stamp design has mottling typical of a lithograph made using real stone. However rough-looking that is, there is more shading detail in the genuine that on the stamp shown. The lettering is different from yours. The color of the genuine is not what I see here.
The overprint has different characters/typeface from the genuine. The "3" is clearly different as well as the letters in "cents".
See Siegel auction 1152, lots between 1045-1060. |

For the moment I see the 1st 3 as fake ,wrong forms, curls, pointed forms on the right. They don't fit in any group of printings. |

I fear they are all forgeries. The Dowager Empress Issue in dull green lower left with trimmed perfs might be good & the 1897 Large Wide Surcharge on the bright green Dowager;but need a much better photo to confirm. The 2 last stamps look ok...IMO

Quote: Dang, what a bummer. NO, that's to be expected, a cheer is in order when you finally find something nice, because it doesn't happen often. but spend some time with books, learn about your area. |

I'd suggest you take it as a lesson learned.
It should prove to everyone visiting SCF just how really rare a stamp cataloging (say) $500 and up really is, and how tempting and easy it is for forgers to copy any stamp. It also shows how frequently forgeries show up. |

Two lessons that I have learned over the years…
1. Stamps are as common as rocks. I may have a huge pile of rocks but the chances that I might find a gem stone among them is virtually zero.
2. Album weeds (fakes, forgeries) are just like the weeds in my back yard. I never find just one or two and once I find some, I find a lot of them.

Forgers is China are extremely talented. I am still fooled by this China 84 fake I have. I would never pass it on to someone else without telling them though it came back as a counterfeit from PSE. Par the coarse! |
