Good Morning,

I need assistance identifying these two imperforate stamp pairs of Afars and Issas - "C34-5". The documentation I have says "2 rare airmail color trials from the Baughman collection." I'm not sure how true that is or not and was hoping someone could put an identification and catalog value on these two imperforate pairs.

Thanks as always!

They're presumably colour trials of Yvert A 61-62, issued in multicoloured form in 1969.

No, sorry. I see that there are a few similar items being offered on ebay by US sellers, at fancy prices (offered, not sold!).

These are not listed or valued in my Yvert French colonies catalog.

Thought I would share related Scott Catalogue information - this doesn't cover the stamps I have but it will have to do for now...

Afars and Issas
Air Post Stamps
1969 Engr Perf 13
C54 A53 100fr multi, vert. 5.50 2.50
C55 A53 200fr multi, vert. 8.50 5.50

I can't stand it when they (Scott Catalogue) don't include the images of all stamps. Nothing to stop them from doing that in the electronic format at all. Makes some searches infuriating. Glad we have forums and the internet.
