Greetings From Australia! Recently Rediscovered Collector.

Greetings everyone from Sydney Australia.

I used to collect as a lad, then forgot about it for 25 years.
I have recently come into a hoard of my mother's, grandfather's and my own old stamps.
Some interesting bits and pieces.
From my grandfather are some old kangaroos and KGV heads which have been grabbing my attention, due to their age I suppose.
I'm looking forward to exploring the forum here and seeing where this rediscovered hobby leads.

Pyrmont is an interesting area, handy to the city too.
As a Mackay boy you would have found the winters a bit punishing!

I have fond memories of Melbourne from 12 years ago or thereabouts. That includes the Royal Victoria Motor Club Hotel, which offered vegemite for breakfast alongside the Yank-friendly butter and jam.
