Hi folks!
I was a collector as a kid (60 years ago) and still have my books. Nothing fancy and the hobby did not stick with me more than a few years. High school got in the way, followed by Vietnam.
I had an aunt who was an avid collector. She donated most of her collection in her will. I received a couple of thousand world and US stamps about 20 years ago.
I received my fathers inactive collection when he passed in 2015. I retired earlier this year and have decided to sort everything out, stamps and coins. I have been learning about coins and sorting through what came to my wife and me via wills. I joined the coin forum here and it has rewarded me with a wealth of information. It is quite fun.
I decided to look ahead to when I might start working on the stamps and try to learn as much as I can as soon as I can. Looking forward to chatting with you all. Thanks for the add.

Chris

Hi Chris,
Greetings from a fellow michigander. I used to collect as a kid and got back into it to get my 7 yr old daughter involved. Now I am hooked as well. I collect worldwide and also getting into topicals now.. still kind of new in the trade...I recently joined west suburban stamp club in plymouth,mi and love it. You should look into joining local stamp club if you havent yet. Good place to network , learn and of course acquire new material.welcome to the forum!
