Another Possible Paper Fold Error On Battleship RB23

Another possible minor paper fold error on a 5 1/2 Rouletted RB23 with "Shifted Perforation". Albeit not our classic paper fold error with blatant unprinted "white" areas but it does appear to be a crease in the paper just at the beginning of a possible double/triple fold that would have gone down the paper sheet (plate). Or was this caused by being affixed to an uneven package surface?




I need to hunt around and see if I can find other examples, with the same company print cancellation, but further down the plate which would display a more pronounced folding error if it is indeed a fold error.

i do not believe a paperfold is an error, but interesting never the less

Looks a bit like a paperclip variety in my opinion. Paperclip stamp to something so it wont get lost. Then pile stuff on it and leave for a time. And voila, the impression is left behind when paperclip is removed.

The paper certainly didn't have the bumps when the cancel was printed from the looks of it, so not when the stamp was printed.Looks like later damage.

Shifted Perforation = 1
Paper Fold Error = 0
