I bought a Safe Signoscope T2 a year ago and have not been able to identify one single watermark. I think I am doing it wrong. I have tried googling instructions on how to operate it to no avail.

It came with this thin white plastic square sheet, what am I suppose to do with that?

I have attached a number of pictures. Any help would be so much appreciated! Thank you!

After you place the stamp on the platform (facing down), you place the thin plastic sheet on top of the stamp. Then you lower the thick plastic plate and slide the carrier into the device and tighten it. Then you tighten it up. Easy-Peazy.

Don't know if the light is adjustable on this model. If it is, that is sometimes useful.

What I am am seeing you holding in your pic looks like a piece of paper. This will not work with the device. You need a piece of matte acetate which is cut to the size and shape of the carrier platform. You can buy matte acetate from a graphic arts supplier...a place like Dick Blick, for example. I think someone here at SCF said he used tracing paper, or waxed paper and it worked, but I haven't tried this.

If there are hinge or paper remnants on the stamp, then the device can't perform correctly.

Thank you so much for filling me in! You rock! I am so grateful. The white paper in my hand is a plastic type of material. I will test it now, Thank you.

I use the larger model which should work similar (don't know if you can also adjust the ligth?).
SAFE sent me a lot of small sheets (foils) in different kinds, and one that is a bit opaque works best for me (I just put it below the stamp so that the stamp is between the foil and the thick plastic thing).

But what is important and interesting to know: Some watermarks / stamps work better in Signoscope and some better in watermark fluid. I have sometimes the case that a watermark does not show in fluid but in Signoscope and also many (more) not in Signoscope but only in fluid.

After all I don't want to miss this tool.

I also have a Accubanker UV light. It is made to detect counterfeit money. The UV light is kind of poor. OK so I need to get a bunch more small sheets in various kinds. This Signoscope T2 only came with 4 of those plastic type sheets. No, you can not adjust the light, or I have not figured out how yet.

Nano you do not have to use the foil (plastic film). However with some stamps it does help, especially stamps with very thick paper.
