I know this is kind of late but here is my guess for how this came to be. The double impression looks exactly like back of a flat press production. For some reason, maybe the solid inking of the back of the sheet, this sheet was laid face to face on another sheet causing some ink transfer on the face rather than on the normally back side of the press sheet. |

after reading the links, my two cents worth is with the authors........it is printers waste and collectible as such but imo not a premium cost item. |
