Hi Hornet

I will tell you what your are looking at is what we used to call a "TAIL" in the printing business...I have seen quite a few over my 5 years as a training lithographer.

1 - It can be caused when a stamp is heavily over inked as yours seems to be..It is caused when later in the run when ink becomes tacky and will stick on whatever you are printing.

2 - It can also be caused when a flake of a hair/paper/etc. on the roller is transferred to the printed material and later removed as printers notice it.

But a nice oddity

Robert
