Specialized Album "Cronologia Filatelica De Mexico"

Link is to a listing of an apparent past ebay offer of two volumes of this series, published by a dealer in Mexico. It apparently has a following among Mexico specialists. The publisher no longer has a site I can link to.

Has anyone collecting in this area ever used these albums/pages? What was your opinion? I also wonder if there may be anyone with sections they have lost interest in and would be looking to sell?

I'm leaving the link but be warned that 'Worthpoint' is a ripoff site.

OK, I need to clarify; I was not promoting Worthpoint. I simply used the only listing I found from a Google search that illustrated what I was inquiring about. The albums are still being produced but the dealer has no website depicting them. I used what I could.

Please let's not make this about Worthpoint, I would not be going through them for any purchase. . Thanks, all.

Worthpoint is not a sales site.

They offer a subscription service to their aggregation of sales of many types of collectibles. As such, they provide a service similar to what Stamp Auction Network is now offering with their subscription to "prices realized".

They gather their data from ebay, many philatelic auctions, and other "estate" style and collectibles auctions.

As to the value of their data, I have no information as I have never had a subscription.

Worthpoint is known to offer a free trial (requires credit card) and then if you cancel they bill you anyway. I posted in this thread b/c once a link was posted, others click on it and consider a trial of subscription.

Yep, about the albums. I have been in touch with the seller but while he sent me a three page write up about them and a detailed list I still feel frustrated in not getting a better idea what the pages look like. I know they are well annotated- in Spanish (not an issue for me) One seldom sees these being sold by owners on ebay.

They are nice-looking albums. It's a bit unfortunate they're not easier to find and buy. I've seen a few other albums that really appealed to me but there was really no way to buy them easily -- plus the problem of adding more pages later, and so on, if you were so inclined. This is why most people stick with mainstream albums even if other albums from small publishers are really appealing.

Reopening this older post; I wound up with a nice windfall of philatelic funds and bought pages on this album up to 2000. Its a Christmas gift to myself, the wife has no idea what I paid. I have a decent Mexico collection in a Scott album and will branch out using that. I did not get the specialized version but figure I can fill eight binders with this.
