Hello Everyone;
I have this very interesting SS Adriatic stamp.
It has a crease in it that doesn't look normal .
Has anyone seen such a flaw like this and if so
what would cause such a thing to happen, I'm thinking it looks to be
mechanically done ,but what do I know.
Also this stamp doesn't have any sigh of a grill
it also looks like it may have been patched for a tear or maybe it was
gum .
Im thinking to take off the patch and see if there is any sighs of a
grill but its so small I don't think it would be a good idea.
I dont think this stamp has that much value though.
Any thought's

In my opinion a stamp which has seen a hard life and was damaged after it was produced; either in the mail or after it was removed from the cover. I think the grill is visible. Given the damaged and killer cancel, the value of this stamp is greatly diminished.

It looks like a large repaired tear. The stamp could be the reissue; the cancel looks like a partial New York oval. Might be why someone went to the trouble to repair such a big tear on an otherwise ordinary and heavily-cancelled specimen.

A repair or a filled thin.

Thanks for the input guys
I wonder if they had something like a liquid paper to fix the tear because the fix looks very fibrous
why not just use paper or a hinge to fix?
