Sometime between 1944 and 1946 the rate of exchange between the canadian cent and the notional UPU gold centime was changed from 1 cent = 3 centimes to 1 cent = 5 centimes. I have been looking for the actual date that this change took place on but cannot find it. I thought Andrew Liptak mentioned it somewhere in his Postal History Corner blog but no luck there either.

Can anyone supply the actual date please.

Mentioned here, though only a period of change in 1947 is specified and it is opposite to what you state:

Whoops my mistake I got the rates the wrong way round in my original post. I will keep looking for the actual date of the change.
