The liberty series has a few *dark*, *deep*, or *intense* color varieties:

  • 1040a dark rose carmine

  • 1044b dark rose lake

  • 1047a deep bright ultramarine

  • 1049b intense black

The Scott Specialized entries for the the last three (1044b, 1047a, & 1049b) have a note saying the variety is "from later printings and is on a harder, whiter paper". This annotation is missing from the entry for 1040a.

Is this an oversight, or is 1040a really simply a color variety?
