Hello again, I am trying to identify this stamp but I can't make out the portrait. It seems as though it has to be Queen Victoria because of the cancel date but I am not sure. Do you think it is just faded?

Could be just faded. It is also a regular stamp used as a revenue stamp.

Griffbo, there are several threads here at SCF on British Commonwealth stamps used for revenue purposes. One specifically focuses on the high value stamps. Very interesting, and educational.
