I wanted to sell my collection of polish stamps german overprints and so on. I figured this would be the best place to ask, the stamps range from 1915 1916 up around 1960's and souvenir sheets, I have more than a few stamps. I'll list 2 links to flickr so you can take a look at them. I sold a polish 1860 on ebay to a guy in germany for $350 but with ebay, I would receive messages saying that they will offer $10 for the 1860 stamp or that it's a fake and so on and I don't even want to deal with the people on there. Does anyone know of a good place where I can consign the stamps or sell whatever ones that I have? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you. Here are the links to the stamps on flickr https://www.flickr.com/photos/14423...669268849553 https://www.flickr.com/photos/14423...672289150845

The Crystal mounts you have used have destroyed the pages with all the brown stains.

Hopefully the stamps are OK.

It will reduce interest in the lot.

churchtractor: your collection appears to have unused or mint copies of Scott #s 77 and 78. Both the Scott catalog (USA) and Fischer catalog (Poland) note that these overprints have been extensively forged. There may be a higher catalogue item or two among the Cracow overprints (Scott #s 41-60). Your collection probably will bring much less in value if you do not have certificates of authenticity for these items.

I will echo comment from dutchman1948. If I owned this collection and wanted to sell, I would take the time to remove the stamps from the Crystal mounts to avoid any further damage. You have some potentially valuable stamps and souvenir sheets; another example possibly the 1928 souvenir sheet, Scott #251 (the scan isn't super good and does not show the back side). It is important to protect these.

Poland is one of my specialty areas and I've bought several collections in the past 3-4 years, to go along with the Poland part of my original world wide collection. I would not buy a collection mounted in Crystal mounts due to the potential for damage from the adhesive.

To perf12: here is a link to the 1860 poland stamp. I took the scan and added the front and back so you can take a look at it and then I added it to my flickr https://www.flickr.com/photos/14423...ted-friend/.

To Climber Steve: I appreciate the information, I'll have to scan the front and back of the more valuable stamps. I contacted the American Philatelic Society last year and I think they wanted around $100 or so per stamp and I have more than a few stamps so it may or may not be worth it, I don't know.

churchtractor: I erred in not wishing you good luck with this project.

Here is another reference for you: http://polonus.org/home.php

This is the Polish philatelic society for the US. I've been a member for a few years, but have not used any of their services except reading the quarterly bulletin. I met some of the principals at the WESTPEX show in San Francisco in 2016. Don't know who does the expertizing that they talk about on the home page or the cost. May be worth an inquiry. I've generally been impressed with the people that I've met and the quality of the journal.
