In years past, the Scott Catalogues were available on CD for less than the printed volumes.

I was curious about the price of the 2010 set on CD compared to the printed volumes, but after searching Amos and some other reputable stores, I can't find the CD versions. Has Amos stopped producing them?

By the way, the best price I've seen for the printed catalogs are from www.ihobb.com -- $199 for the 6-Vol Set and $59 for the US Specialized.

Sold!

Thank you for the heads up. I have been looking for a deal for awhile now. Anyone else might want to take a look as this is a great price even with shipping added.

Good to hear it, Mac

My first reaction was that it might be a typo -- after all, that's $100 less than Amos Press even with their subscriber discount. I have ordered supplies from iHobb, but it's been a couple years ago since my last order.

I didn't check their shipping charges, but I hope you'll give us an update on your experience after you receive the goods.

We will see soon I hope. I also have bought from them before and did not have a problem but it was about a year ago.
It does say though it is a close out sale.

For what its worth, the listing does say "this is a closeout price." Someone who wants to act should probably act quickly.

Thanks for the steer to their site. Their Bale's 2010 Israel Catalog is $116 + shipping compared to $145 + which is the lowest I've seen from Israel and elsewhere.

The $199 for Scott's six volumes is a killer price. Like someone said, that's $100 lower than Amos Advantage. Holy Cow, Batman!

The search function is very funny.
I looked for the Bale that Laswabbie mentioned and got very expensive lists of worldwide stamps !!
Then I searched for a watermark detector [Safe] and got Lindner coin boxes !!

Londonbus1.....off to search for Poached Eggs!

Oh, by the way... has anyone discovered the answer to my original question ... is 2010 Scott available on CD/DVD?

Kirk

P.S. to Swabbie, $116 still ain't cheap. But $30 is better than nothing.

Scoured the whole Amos site and could not find any information. They will be the first to have it though.

Mac - I talked to my friend Vicky at Amos. They will not be having a 2010 CD version of the catalog, but are planning on a CD for the 2011 set to be released in Oct. or Nov.

I hope you aren't too disappointed.

Not me but Kirk might not like the news. I prefer the hard copy myself and placed a order for a set yesterday.

Thanks Swabbie:

Part of me likes the printed catalogs better -- I can read them in my recliner. On the other hand, the CDs were cheaper and take less shelf space

The latest issue of Linn's has an ad for House of Zion (on page 30) with the 2010 Bale catalog at $99 postpaid to US and Canada buyers.

For what its worth.
