Was looking through my Admiral coils and yes the Scott 128iv has a "hairline" variety recognized in the Unitrade Catalouge.

Now I came to my Scott 128a imperf.coils and found a "hairline" variety that is not in the Unitrade Catalouge...Maybe it should be added as a hairline variety...See pictures below...Robin, if you are there, what do you think..Worth while adding to the Unitrade Catalouge..???

Robert

Robert, the top one showing by crown sure looks like a hairline.
The bottom one below the 2- maybe a plate scratch or guide line?

Both look like hairline cracks to me. Nice ones too,

Peter

Yes Robert, I concur. All I noticed was the straight line last night, and now after you pointed out the rest of the line I can see that it is not entirely straight.

Hi Robert,

This is listed as 128iv and has been in Unitrade for awhile. Not exactly the same and I'm not that knowledgeable on the Admiral issue.

None of my Scott 142 have those hair line cracks...Maybe you should contact Unitrade to make them aware of this variety.
