I have a decent color reference collection of the 3c 1851-1857 imperfs. Does anyone know if I can use my imperfs to match colors for the later perforated issues? I'm thinking probably not unless they are early (1857) perforated stamps. There seems to be less interest in the colors of the perforated stamps, so I'm not sure how to collect reliable references.

The colors of the perforated stamps are kind of there own group(s). You can undoubtedly match certain examples to 1851 stamps but they are best kept separate. Even the 1851's have their own groups of colors as the years went by. There is no good reason to expect exact matches as stamps were printed during the 1857-61 period.
