I've seen denomination changes but not incorporated into a cancellation. I've never seen this before, have any of you guys? I apologize for the blurred image the focus mode on my camera app has stopped working.Thanks and have a great day!
I think I see what the OP means. There is what looks like a "4" in the cancel and it happens to be where the denomination of the stamp is. The number in the cancel is just the number of the cancel or the station
This is just a number of the cancelling device, used as a check or control by the post office.
Coincidences happen and that accounts for the placement of the cancel number. You have to ask yourself why the figure of value on the right side has no number struck over it also. And with the wavy bars why would the post office allow a stamp so marked to be used again when it looks used already?
Posting with a broken photo as you did originally doesn't help anyone including yourself. Kindly show some restraint and post when you have everything ready.
