Quiet an issue it seems some airmail I send to USA now taking 4 to 8 weeks. And now some airmail I send to UK is on a slow down taking weeks. Tracked seems to be just as bad sent from Sydney. I had a standard tracked packet take 2 months to reach the Isle of Man. Its getting bad now because buyers are starting to complain. Are any other Australian online sellers noticing the same slow down from their post offices? Its like mail is being held back somewhere for no reason. Many other airmail has gotten to UK, Europe & USA in 1-2 weeks. Really weird. Things do turn up in the end but 6 weeks to USA for standard letter is just plain nuts.

I think this is a common problem. It now takes almost ten days to get a first class letter from South Carolina to Georgia - one can walk it faster,

Peter

I'm still waiting for a letter from France, posted 14th May. So it's happening both ways.

Received my invoice from French Philatelic bureau/bank Friday Aug 2nd as it was mailed on July 12th. Only three weeks. My stamps came in the same amount of time also.

I got two catalogs and some stamps from Lisbon, Portugal; to metro Denver, Colorado; last Friday (July 26). Took 10 days from Lisbon to Denver. Another shipment from the same stamp dealer, about 6 months ago, took 14 days. So, an improvement.

10-14 days international is very reasonable esp if the catalogs were heavy. I bet going from Australia to Denver would take 2 months!

An ebay purchase from Czechoslovakia dated July 23 was received on August 1st. I find that 10 days to two weeks to be a common travel time from Europe. England seems to be the worst.

I've had the opposite experience with mail from Europe and the UK. The UK material always arrives in quicker time than anywhere on the continent. I did have a letter from Latvia take 63 days to get to Australia last year.

Ontario and Canada in general I always find slow. I have to message buyers and ask them to wait 4 weeks then pray it gets there. There are a couple of doctors in Czechoslovakia who buy often and they always seem to receive in two weeks. Germany is problematic I had one make it there in 5 days but another one was upset after 6 weeks no show.

63 days that is nuts. Brazil is slow as well and their post offices charge extra fees for imports to their buyers on parcels. Mail to UK hit and miss some in a week but I've one buyer waiting since 8th July and getting worried where is his QV stamp with MX.

I'm still waiting for a plate block from Australia (Korumburra, VICTORIA) that I ordered and paid for on July 11, three weeks ago.

My previous purchase from this seller took 3 weeks to arrive. I'm hoping to see the winged monkey arrive tomorrow.

2 parcels to the UK 1 to Canada 1 New Zealand last month.

All parcels arrived in 7 days. But our mail from where I live goes straight to the parcel sorting depo at Underwood! Postmark envelops get sort and sent straight away but no postmark and the letter gets sent to Caboolture 75km away and the letter mailing bag goes out once or twice a week from Underwood.

Feel for you people where your parcels/letters are in a position that your buyers can get a refund from ebay for non arrival of their items in eBays time frame.

I requested some price lists from Seven Seas in NSW that took two months to arrive. This is also being discussed on other forums. It seems systemic right now.
