I had someone reach out to me yesterday about this postcard they found in a drawer of a dresser. I'm a local appraiser and have little experience with postage. Possible Scott UX27C? if so, can you give me a value? - Appreciate any help

I come across quite a few of these in making large purchases of stamps (kiloware) at what amounts to 3-4 stamps to the penny. At the same time, it is amazing to see what is offered on ebay for $1.00. Although these are probably your parameters, you may not want to invest a lot of time in selling this item.
On the bright side, however, all collections have to start somewhere.

UX27 was in use for many years and appears on numerous shades of paper including shades of buff (ranging from dark to pale), yellow, canary, white, off-white, and cream. UX27 was also printed on six different types of printing press resulting in a wide variety of measurements.
UX27C used the same stamp impression as the UX27. Height of head is 24 mm (so are three varieties of UX27); length of inscription is 58 mm (this eliminates two of the six press varieties of UX27); overall length is 97.25 to 97.5 mm (this eliminates four of the press types), this leaves a match with UPSS type S37C NOT TO BE CONFUSED with Scott number UX37C/UPSS type S38. Paper is horizontally fibered as opposed to the vertically vertically fibered type S37C.
