Need Help, Possible 519

Hello all, my grandmother just passed away and I found a collection of stamps, lots of stuff to go though but I found that this stamp is worth something I know nothing about stamps and how to judge if this is a real 1917 George Washington #519

Unlikely unless there are other known high-value stamps in the collection. You'll need to check the watermark to see if it is a 519 - will need to be a double line watermark. You can check yourself with some lighter fluid and a black dish, but if you don't have a lot of experience, you may not be able to tell definitively. . .I suggest you take it to a stamp club, show, or dealer and they can tell you pretty quickly. You'll also need to double check the perforations, but the double line watermark is the distinguishing feature on a 519.

This is not the correct design type of a 519. A 519 has "TWO CENTS" in the denomination tablet, not "2 CENTS 2".

Yep - I should have caught that. . . definitely not a 519.

The series of stamps that your's belongs to is one of the more complex ones so you are right to be skeptical of the identity of many of them as marked in the album you have.
