Was scrolling through ebay and came across this.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/COLLECTIBL...LH_Auction=1

I'm used to see worthless stamps being offered for thousandth of dollars, but those usually have rare varieties.

I don't think #832 have a rare variety, except for 832b which is not an expensive stamp ether.

I would think that an expert at PSE was very surprised when he got a request to certify, encapsulate, and likely grade a worthless stamp anyway you turn it.

The seller is calling the vignette shift an error. It is a pretty dramatic shift. I don't think the price is right and encapsulated stamps are dumb, but this stamp is certainly much more valuable than a normal one.

If you read the description you'll see that the seller thinks this is the only Scott 832 ever "incapsulated" by PSE, hence unique. Hairball....

At least PSE observed that the stamp is "toned".

Bin job really.

The uniqueness might refer to the fact that the stamp is both encapsulated & ungraded.

Oh wow rimstamps, there certainly is a lot wrong on that cert. I've had very good experiences with PSE as of late. I suspect things are in good orde 10 years after the cert you posted was issued.

Well, no surprise, but the "rare error" 832 did not sell. Seller appears to deal more in coins than stamps.

I posted my "clock" a few years ago. Check out this link

I must admit that none of my vignette shifts are as large at the sellers. Enjoy!
