OK. I've read this thread for a week or more, mulled it over, slept on it, and in my judgment, the correct answer to the OP's question is "a well centered horizontal pair". There.

kcaramat or anyone,

How does it work that Gary Posner and Bill's Bargain Stamps are offering the same identical item on ebay (per your two links), one at $750 more than the other?

Just wonderin'.

Interesting! I'm not sure what the relationship is between Langs and Posner, but I know that when buying from Posner (or Bobby Prager), he has always offered a discount off list price. I imagine he'd offer a bit more than $750 off a $25K list item.

Looks like I got that backwards. . .Lang's price is $750 more. . .this looks like an oversight by one of them. Langs probably sells more stamps than anyone else in the US, and I'm sure he has deals to cross-promote other dealer's stuff.

Just received this reply from Posner regarding the duplicative block listing:

Thank you for alerting us that the listing for #485 Item# #383058663158 was still posted. The item was sold to Bill Lang and should have been removed from our website, I have since ended the item. Thank you and best regards. Gary

Under Bill's bargain stamps, Billie has 73,706 stamp lots listed. Due to his stupid high prices, on the 11th he sold only 4, on the 10th he sold only 5. That doesn't come remotely close to making him to be the biggest seller in the US. At his selling rate (I'll use the higher of the 2 days), it would take him over 40 years to sell all he has listed.
