As you've already listed them, bids will tell you that. Let's say that I shouldn't myself have listed these at such a high starting price.

I agree that $10 is probably to high of a starting point for an ebay auction. Now there might be some stamp or two that someone sees that would make them bid that much. Maybe you will get several people that want one of the lots. Generally, clean sorted and identified country lots might start at 3-5 cents per stamp. For an example, if those lots came up at my local stamp club the starting bid would probably be 2 cents a stamp and most of the time there would only be 1 bidder. Another point is that the German lot has a lot of duplication. Most collectors only want one of each so anyone buying that lot would want to sell (or trade) the extras thus they would have to bid low so that they can then sell at a profit.
Of course, I could be way off.
BTW, your lots were nicely organized and clean. That is a big plus.

I would not bid on stamps from a seller that does not accept returns.

Yes - that's worth changing. The likelihood of a lot's being returned is very low in any case (assuming half-way decent scans and description). I'd have kicked these off at 99p.

I was thinking $10 (+$5) was an expensive starting price :)

$70 for that lot, good luck.

PS: every lot Germany Chile etc, says " A lot of 53 Irish Stamps"...etc.

For the Germany stamps $3.00 would be a hard sell. If you don't think that's right I am willing to sell you a similar lot for $2.00. And at that price, as many lots as you want.

Two quotes from the same post:

Just looking at Germany...

math teacher: About how many stamps are there?
math student: Oh, maybe 500.
math teacher: Good! Now, what's 500 times $0.02?
math student: Lemme get my calculator out... $10.00!
math teacher: That's right! 500 times $0.02 equals $10.00.
math student: When are we ever going to use this?
math teacher: Now.

edit: The German lot contains 450 stamps. The other lots are all smaller.

Germany.
ebay stamps sales teacher
"How many stamps ...300+"
"How many are duplicates?"............... penny drops.

Yes $10 is probably too high for a starting point.

A statement can be true, but not right. One has to combine it with some wisdom.

I can't believe we are splitting hairs over a few bucks. $10 might be high but it's not like anyone is getting fleeced at that price.

Whose splitting hairs? who mentioned anything about "getting fleeced"?
The poster wants advice on selling his stamps, if he wants to move them, then it's a high chance they will remain at $15.
There's no value in massaging an ego, tell the truth as you see it.
Watch the item on ebay, and see how he fares.
