I found this item on ebay: (#36a Victoria - small queen)

In Unitrade, it lists the 2˘ green as an imperforate pair.
Furthermore, it has no values for used condition.

Is this a legitimate offering?

Many of these have been faked by trimming perforations from large margined copies. Expertization services usually will not issue a certificate for a single copy. I have a few of these myself and feel all of them are fakes.

On rare occasions, found on cover as used, but watermark is correct. It must be a pair and without perforations, 36a cannot be a single.

Here are two SQ's I have. I consider them trimmed and only keep them as reference copies. No way to prove these as genuine.

The lower green example, I can see what looks like perforation "dents" along the right hand edge, if you lined up the dents with the perforation guage, it may put your mind at rest.

What is intriguing, is the edges do not appear to be made by a knife or scissors.

The top and bottom margins of my 2c stamp also may have a couple of perforation indentions as well. I consider them damaged stamps so I don't worry with them at all.
