There are obviously a lot of double transfers on Plate 11-Late of the 3c stamp. It had a lot of re-work done on it multiple times.

For the casual reader, Ty IV, Scott #26A came from three states (early, intermediate and late) of two plates: 10 and 11.

Plate 11L stamps are pretty scarce, and the 63-64-65L11L strip posted are all notable double transfers.

While available material may be scarce, the vast majority of double transfers encountered on perforated 3c stamps will still come from Plate 11L.

I have posted this stamp before but since we are talking about Plate 10 and 11 double transfers, here is one from Plate 10L. It is a stamp worth posting more than once.

Looks like Olean, NY on the 10L #26A.

Jim Forte's site shows an Olive, NY, but not the Stampless Cover Catalog.

That's quite a stamp. With those margins and centering, there is room for all of the multiple impressions ...
