I have a few older U.S. stamps that I would like to have a more or less "iron clad" identification performed. While, I feel, I am able to identify most of my U.S. stamps, that extra assurance from a reputable person/organization/etc... would be appreciated. Does anyone have any guidance or suggestions?

I am familiar with APEX, PSAG and PSE and their prices are above my interest level. Grading is of little concern in this matter, as well.
