Well it is near the end of KGV's first stamp printing a 100 years ago! A nice mini sheet to add at this time. |

I go to a large PO on the mainland regular and it is a great place.
Know the PO 6 workers. One older guy has been assigned to me selling.
He would like me to think that the different printings of the modern KGV's have differences around the head.
It would be nice to know the answer.
Have M/S in this KGV issue but very few used singles. Very few in very recent kiloware. Feb Kiloware should be good lot of these KGV issues stamps. |

I have sold the very most of my KGV collection now as the family has had need.
It looks like a window of opportunity is coming up to get back into Australia KGV penny red collecting.
The best part is I still have a bank of 15 x UV longwave lights ready to go and the dark room is still dark.
Back to the auction houses. I have not been buying at auction for some years as I have some very good contact for other Australia stamps but not KGV's, they all seem to go to auction.
There is a couple of dealerships that are worth a contact...... |

Thank you pk.
The collector in me has focused into one area of stamps & coins and that is my penny reds.
I just can not stop collecting them. They are the best stamps in the world as we know it.
They are also the most collected stamp in the world.
Always Happy Stamping. KGV

Hi magic70
Good to hear from you.
The watermark on your stamp is correct. It is a CofA watermark.
When looking from the back of the stamp the watermark looks inverted but that is the way they are printed. It is a normal CofA watermark.
Always Happy Stamping. |

Magic70, I suggested to you on an earlier post about the same stamp to send it off to someone! You should be able to send it to an expertiser in Sweden or elsewhere in Europe? I know you want to know what you have, and I wish I could help you, but I honestly can not tell by your picture!
