I recently came across several boxes of stamps and need help identifying the value of them
The pictures attached are just a sample of what I have.. There are 8 books in total showed in picture below and pictures below that are from the first book. Thanks in advance
These are referred to, here locally, as "Chinese Stockbooks" (without stamps) Made of recycled cardboard, and tend to attract moisture in dubious storage locations. Not widely appreciated. Value : Possibly $1-$2 a book. I have tens of them empty.
The stamps are nice, the beginnings of a nice collection. I'll let others suggest a value.
rod222's price of $1-2 may be referring to an empty stockbook. I would value it at $0. But the stamps are very nice with a lot of variety. Nothing jumps out as being valuable, though. The stamps in one stockbook could bring $5-10.
Roughly 750 stamps. At 2 cents each $15, at 4 cents each $30. Of course, someone might see an unusual cancel or something. You will probably be closer to the lower number. Maybe the next book will have something more easily identified in the $1 to $5 range or better.
