Franklin 1 Cent Coil Stamp 597 Or ?????

Hi new to the forum and I am wondering if someone can help me out
with a couple of stamps I have from my great grandfathers stamp
collection. There were several dark green Franklin 1 cent stamps
but there were two lighter colour Franklin stamps that appear to
be slightly wider. Would appreciate any help. Thanks.

Slightly wider probably means a rotary press print. Top stamp does appear to be a 597 coil and bottom looks to be a flat plate 552. Rough guess on the small pictures. Good place to start;

Thanks for the input not sure how to count the perforations and having trouble counting them on the top
stamp because of the condition of the stamp I think the 597 is suppose to be 10 on both sides of the vertical
I was obviously hoping for a little rarer stamp. Thanks again.

You use a perforation gauge to measure the prefs. there is a printable one here http://www.stampsmarter.com/learnin...esForms.html
