Just curious to know what your favorite country is (but not the country your are from or where you reside)?
I am in the US, so excluding that... still trying to decide between England, France, Germany, Austria & Hungary.
It's a hard question for me, that's why wanted to ask other members here.

That would be Saint Pierre et Miquelon. A small piece of France just off my doorstep, (Nova Scotia). Love their managable number of issues as well as the history portrayed of the Islands. And the different printing styles of issues. Have built my collection to about 80% of all issues printed to date. Yes some of the early ones may never grace my collection, but still enjoy it.
Hope to visit sometime soon in the future. |

I'm from Australia so my favourite foreign country to collect is Great Britain, to 1952 only though. If I ignore my heritage for a moment, then it's France, but only the 19th century stamps. |

At this point in time, I'd have to say Great Britain. So many great definitives with the monarchs. Except maybe the issue for Edward VIII.
In second place I'd put Australia for the roos and George V issues.

I fell in love with a girl from Lebanon about 30 years ago. My favorite foreign country to collect is Lebanon. The collection has lasted about 29 years longer than the relationship. |

Is the question the favorite country for one to visit; or the favorite country to collect? Seems like it's to visit, but will answer both, as others have done. (Just saw original poster's clarification, but will leave my answer as is)
Favorite countries for me to visit, in no particular order: Australia, New Zealand, Bolivia, Bulgaria, Portugal, Poland, Baltic States, Britain.
Favorite countries to collect: Portugal & colonies, Poland, Mexico. Secondary collections of US, British Commonwealth, German speaking countries, a few other select eastern Europe and Latin America countries. And, yes, #1philatelist, St. Pierre & Miquelon is the only French entity I still collect. Sold the rest at auction early last year, but kept SPM for my North America album (US & possessions, Canada & provinces, Greenland, Mexico, SPM, UN-NY). |

Germany for the history (states, occupations, colonies, DDR, locals, etc.). Bhutan for the fun! Since I collect W.W., I'm sure I will never run out of history or fun. |

I'm in the US. . .collect US and territories. If I were to collect another country, it would be UK, Australia, Italian States, or US territories before they were US territories. |

Having lived in Haiti for much of two to three years in the early 90s, I do favor stamps of that country. Also like Israeli stamps.
No specific country but of late, I've been into the stamps of colonial Africa. |

Nowadays, mainly: Switzerland, Sweden and UK. But, also, Germany, Austria, Denmark, Norway, Finland and Estonia.
All of them are countries whose stamps I like, I've been there at least once (or lived for a while, like in UK), I'm familiar whith their history and I like them. |
