From my postal history collection, I will share with the club a cover I found in 1994. I distinctly remember finding this cover in the trash bin. I looked at it, and tossed it back in the trash. It landed facedown, but the Worldpost eagle caught my eye, and I pulled it back out and saved it. It has a faded meter from Toyama, Japan and was express mailed to Des Moines, Iowa, USA passing through US Customs in Chicago. USPS Form 5626 dated July 1992 is attached to the back.

I searched the Stampsmarter "United States Post Office Forms Database" for Form 5626 and found a newer version dated March 2001 measuring 162mm X 111mm. My example is dated nine years earlier, yet it measures exactly the same size: 162mm x 111mm.

Don D, you are free to use my images below for Stampsmarter if you like, as well as anyone else who can use them.

Linus

Thanks Linus and Don. All additions to our data base greatly appreciated. It is tougher than you think to get these more modern variants as they get eaten by Oscar in his trash can ….
