Israel Philatelic Federation have it listed (still), so, hardly that it is "...forced to pull two new stamps from circulation..." as stated in blog post, probably Israel post voluntary put out from sales.
It is issue for "Hamsa" (amulet "against spells" and "black magic" in Jew from Morocco descend, but in principle, it is tradition).
Why I think that it is "forced" to take it from circulation?
First, this amulet is very popular in jewelry, so, to take it out from stamp will be hard to believe, but religious people have own "principles" of what is allowed and what is not, especially, when mentioned G.d .... on stamps or on
jewelry, no matter, normally, this religious and ultra-religious part of Israel population will object use of "Hamsa" on postage stamps.
Same "problem" exist, when in use topic for Christmas or New Year, which, on Israel stamps You will not see this inscription, instead, they use simple "Season Greetings" (shown sample of 2014 ATM).
